The next two skill share sessions run by Horwich Community Allotment will be:
Making Jam & Preserves
Help to make jam from allotment fruit and sample different preserves.
Saturday 9 July 1.30pm – 5pm (NB Slightly later start time)
Horwich Scout Hut, Lord Street, Horwich

Composting and Making Plant Food
Help to make comfrey and nettle feed, and learn how to compost kitchen and garden waste.
       (Saturday 30th July,  1pm – 4pm)
       Horwich Community Allotment site

Making Jam & Preserves is indoors, so will go ahead even if it is raining. If possible, let me know beforehand if you want to come and give me your contact details in case of any change in the arrangements. As well as making jam on the day, there will be various preserves to sample and some available to take home (for a donation!). I will also try to answer any questions you have about making jam. The Scout Hut is the single-storey brick building at the far end of the Lord Street car park, behind the Library and Clinic (which are on Jones Street).
The Composting and Making Plant Food is at the allotment site, so is likely to be postponed in the event of torrential rain but not for light showers. Please let us know if you are interested.
